Bowling and event space is opening in New Castle County

Main Event Entertainment, a Dallas-based company, is opening a bowling alley and dining destination at 2900 Fashion Center Blvd by the Christiana Mall in New Castle County.

The 50,000-square-foot center will feature 22 bowling lanes, laser tag, obstacle courses, zip lines, shuffleboard, billiards and 120 interactive and virtual video games. Main Event markets its centers as the perfect place for hosting events, parties and private business meetings..

The space offers business essentials such as audio-visual technology, catering and free Wi-Fi.

“We are excited to expand into Delaware and to introduce our one-of-a-kind brand to everyone in the Wilmington area,” said Darin Harper, Interim CEO and CFO of Main Event Entertainment. “There’s nothing like Main Event in Delaware, and we have found the perfect location in Wilmington for its debut.”

The grand opening on March 6 will include facility tours, food, drinks and games. Main Event will also present a $2,500 check to the Delaware Autism Program at the Brennen School. This is the company’s first Delaware location.

The Main Event Delaware location will be open Monday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight, Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
