We’re off to a busy 2016 and working on three major projects for the first quarter. Note the dates on these projects so you don’t miss out.

Technology Leadership Awards

Delaware is home to world-class IT organizations led by accomplished executives with strong and talented teams.  We’ve created the Technology Leadership Awards program to recognize those individuals and teams that are leveraging technology to positively impact the economy and business community.

The 2016 nominations will be judged by an independent panel of professional IT practitioners, business managers and Today Media executives. Nominees selected as award finalists will be profiled in the May 10 issue.

Nominations are open to the top technology executive who provides technology-related strategy/leadership for a business based in Delaware. Job titles include: CIO, vice president of information technology, CTO or other technology-oriented titles. Self-nominations are encouraged. Candidates must have held their position on or before Jan. 1, 2015.

Nominations for project of the year are open to any project completed by a Delaware-based company that benefited a Delaware company or any other business in the world.

Awards will be presented to CIOs (or a team for the project-of-the-year category) serving in the following capacities:

CIO of the Year — Finalists will be selected from CIOs at private/publicly held companies, nonprofit organizations and government entities. The CIO of the Year will be selected from these four finalists.

Project of the Year — Award will be presented to company/team that successfully completed a project in 2015 that led to innovative solutions to stated problem.

IT Team of the Year — Award will be presented to the team that demonstrated the qualities associated with collaboration and out-of-the box thinking to accomplish company’s financial and strategic objectives.

Rising Star of the Year — Award will be presented to the individual who best represents all the qualities necessary to move into future leadership roles in the IT industry.  Supervisor must make nomination.

Nominations are due by Jan. 31. Online form: DelawareBusinessTimes.com/TLA2016

Book of Lists 2016 edition

We’re busy compiling the 2016 Book of Lists, which will be published in March. This expanded book will include 53 lists — a comprehensive look at the top businesses and organizations that are part of our landscape. We want to make sure that your business isn’t left off the list.

To ensure your company is included in our lists, please submit your information by Feb. 1.

Go to DelawareBusinessTimes.com/Lists and find the list for your category. If you’re not included, click the DATA button at the top of the list and select the industry/category that applies to you. Once there, click on the grey tab that says ADD DATA and fill out the form.

If you have any questions, please send them to Book of Lists Editor Christi Milligan at Christi@DelawareBusinessTimes.com
