The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control issued a cease and desist order to Anderson’s Recycling, Inc.

According to the agency, the company violated Delaware laws and regulations on the transportation and management of scrap tires.

Anderson’s Recycling, located at  9320 Old Race Track Road in Delmar, failed to submit necessary permits and did not respond to outreach from the agency. Officials say they were also unable to conduct a site assessment.

Anderson’s Recycling is prohibited from transporting or accepting scrap tires for the next 30 days.
