Dogfish Head continues national expansion with move into Nebraska market

Nebraska drinkers will soon have the option to buy Dogfish Head craft beer from local distributors. The Delaware-based brewer will add the state to its distribution area in late February.

“We’re excited to ship our innovative beers to Dogfish Head fans in Nebraska and to begin a great and long-lasting relationship with the beer drinkers, retailers, and distributor partners in the state,” said Dogfish founder and CEO Sam Calagione.

Dogfish Head will serve a total of 39 states with the addition of Nebraska. In recent years, the company has steadily expanded from a regional to a national brand. It picked up markets in Kansas, Alabama, Missouri, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Minnesota, and West Virginia in 2017. Louisiana joined the list in January.

Company sales grew 20 percent last year, according to the industry website Brewbound.

“We have our canning and bottling lines pumping out a ton of beer and enough brewing capacity to ensure we can keep retailers well stocked with our well-differentiated family of beers for years to come,” Calagione said.
