Grants open for nonprofits helping needy in Kent County

The Potter Trust Grant Fund at the CenDel Foundation is inviting nonprofits that support needy Kent Countians to apply for grants by June 15. The Potter Charity Trust, created in 1843, supports charitable organizations that aid the economically underprivileged residents of Kent County.

The funded areas include crisis and emergency assistance for basic needs, homelessness, hunger and health care.

The grants looks for collaboration among nonprofits or collaboration with a state agency or non-collaborative programs that provide emergency financial assistance. The committee will award approximately $200,000 in 2017 to qualified 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations. Grant seekers must submit an online application form available at delcf.org/grants by June 15.
