Toys “R” Us plans to close 182 stores as part of a financial restructuring that began last fall when the company declared bankruptcy. The Dover location is among those planned for a shutdown.

The closings will reduce the retail giant’s total number of stores by 20 percent.

A message to customers from CEO Dave Brandon said closing sales will likely begin in February and end by mid-April with closures. Brandon joined Toys R Us in 2015 after helping with the turnaround of Domino’s Pizza Inc.
