Beer tanks have arrived at the soon-to-open Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant in Rehoboth.
The third Delaware location of the regional chain — located at 19815 Coastal Highway — is set to open this summer. Installation of the brew house began today.
“We’re excited to have this equipment installed and ready to brew,” Head Brewer John Panasiewicz said. “This set up allows us to brew about 54 different seasonals each year alongside our Signature Series.”
The brewing equipment includes a mash tun, brew kettle, fermenters and grain mill. The installation process will take two weeks. Iron Hill Rehoboth Beach is currently 70 percent complete.
The Rehoboth Beach brewery plans to produce 900 barrels of beer per year.
It takes two to four weeks for beer to be fully fermented once it enters the fermentation tank. Iron Hill Rehoboth Beach plans to produce over 900 barrels of beer at the brewery annually.
