The City of Wilmington on Monday posted a job offer for a “Small & Minority Business Development Manager” within the Office of Economic Development.

The position would be responsible for analyzing the impact of economic development projects, sizing incentive packages for companies seeking Strategic Fund investments, assessing the financial viability of businesses seeking other forms of financial assistance from the City, and reaching out to the small and minority business community.

The Small & Minority Business Development Manager would also serve as a point of contact between businesses and other departments that may provide needed services. The job is an extension of the Disadvantage Business Enterprise Program, which works to increase the participation of underrepresented companies in City contracts.

The application outlines a set of required skills including “strong financial analysis” and “communication and collaboration” abilities.

The salary grade is $57,302 per year to $91,461. The full job description is available here: https://www.wilmingtonde.gov/home/showdocument?id=6888
