Cloud users often encrypt data, too

More than 90 percent of U.S. businesses use cloud infrastructures, and 64 percent say the cloud is more secure than legacy IT systems, according to a new Clutch survey.
About 75 percent of businesses use additional security measures beyond what their cloud providers offer, however. The most-user additional security measure is encryption, which 61 percent of respondents use.
Companies also use identity access policies and regular audits to keep tabs on their data.
More than half of the enterprises surveyed spend between $10,000 and $500,000 on their security.
