In effort to get more young women interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), DuPont has partnered with Girls Incorporated of Delaware and a number of local Girl Scout councils to put on the 28th annual “Engineering Your Tomorrow” event.

DuPont employees will present to young women on how a career in STEM can benefit the community. They will also emphasize the fun and engaging side of working in the field.

According to a press release from DuPont, the wage gap for women in the STEM field is 86 cents for every dollar earned by a man.

About 300 girls from Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey are expected to attend.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 25 at Conrad Schools of Science on 201 Jackson Avenue, Wilmington.
