McColgan-Pierson has implemented a culture that makes every new hire feel at home. Every person in the organization gets to know customers and fellow employees personally and professionally. She created community-outreach opportunities that help everyone on staff come together to make a difference. She also reaches out to employees in the field every week to let them know they have the company’s support. If an employee wants to move to another role, McColgan-Pierson works with them and their managers on options for their career growth. A measure of that success is the length of time employees remain with the company.
McColgan-Pierson recently ran a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity. She partnered with a Dia Dolce cupcake company from West Chester, Pennsylvania, to take customized orders from employees. The company raised over $600, which went towards construction materials for housing in Wilmington. The monies raised went towards the construction of new homes.
