As a startup company, one of the firm’s greatest challenges and commitments was ensuring that it created, fostered and developed an amazing company culture — one that would continue to excel even as the company grew. In an effort to gauge employee sentiment, the HR team utilized a novel application in the form of a weekly pause survey. As a result of its customization and diligence in monitoring the information, the team was able to review real-time employee engagement analytics by level and department, review verbatim comments and suggestions immediately, launch custom quick polls when needed — all with maintaining employee anonymity.
As a result of continuous monitoring and ensuring that employees know and trust that HR is listening to them, employee engagement culture continues to grow. The team implemented several tangible suggestions that have come directly from our employees through the weekly pulse surveys — such as a “Summer Fridays” shortened schedule and the “Quiet Lake” conference room, where employees can go to work in a more quiet atmosphere without the hustle and bustle of our open-floor seating arrangement.
