Michele’s, a fine dining restaurant in Dover, made the list of the “100 Best Brunch Restaurants in America for 2017.”
Located above the lobby of the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, the restaurant offers locally-sourced seafood and prime steaks.
OpenTable, a global provider of online restaurant reservations, released the list, drawing from more than 10 million reviews submitted by users of the service for 24,000 restaurants across the country.
“Brunch has become as synonymous with Mother’s Day celebrations as it has the weekend, and the repertoire of dishes associated with the midday meal has expanded exponentially,” said Caroline Potter, OpenTable chief dining officer, in a press release.
“No longer an after-thought, this meal at these winning restaurants has become a showcase for culinary diversity, with restaurants serving everything from classic Eggs Benedict and buttermilk pancakes to succulent fried chicken with waffles, chorizo scrambles, and luxe buffets with made-to-order stations and raw bars that would delight even the most avid eaters.”
Many of the winning restaurants are not exclusively brunch places, but they scored the highest in the category of “great for brunch.”
